Default Canreef Calcium Reactor (Top Mount)

Purchased Date: Unknown

Price: $460 CAD

Dealer: Canreef Aquatics Ltd.

Comments: The only unit in the world that offers the following:
1) top mount pump but draws water from bottom of reaction chamber (never will cavitate)
2) true self siphon design
3) CO2 re-injection (bubbles in chamber will be re-cycled)
4) integrated self filling bubble counter
5) expandable chamber volume by stacking or daisy chaining

Do you find any problems with refilling the media. I see the tube that drives the water to the bottom of the reactor and was wondering if this was a problem. Thanks for the forum.

Default Canreef Calcium Reactor (Top Mount)

Hello Gord,

The reactor was designed to be re-filled easier than the traditional bottom mount, and the Korallin top mount version. The reason being:
1) It features a keyhole slot (no wrench and screwdriver needed like the Korallin)
2) The pump and top lid comes completely off and you can bring the entire reaction chamber wherever you want to dump the old media.
3) Wide 6"OD tube for less chance to spill.

Steve brought to my attention that the Canreef Reactor 2 is a featured product in FAMA July issue.
Way to go, Titus!!
