Use a computer case fan with a 12 transformer to power it.

Or if you want to spend a bit more money, radio shack, $24, wire it right into the wall. Got 2 running on my canopy and couldn't be happier

I use 6" electronics fans for evaporative cooling, not so much to cool my lamps. Anyway, I got them at RP Electronics in Burnaby.

If you purchase 230V fans, yet run them at 115V, they are DEAD quiet and still move a reasonable amount of air. You have to get ball bearing models or the 115V won't be enough juice to get the fan started.

Check out http://www.rpelectronics.com/

and look for AC Fans in the products directory.

running 2 icecap fans for my 2x250 w hqi , speed variable based on temp under the hood, and fairly quiet. You do pay for them though. about 60-70 piece. I love em

Vantek stealth are known to be really quiet computer fans. Fans cool best when pointed directly at water. they cool by evaporation more than by wind.

If you're ever up in the NE up by the airport, Princess Auto usually has a vast selection of surplus electronics type fans, 12V, 24V, 110VAC, ... 3", 4", 6", ... lots and lots of stuff and usually pretty cheap.

They also usually have lots of cheap 12v power packs.
