Default PH,Ca,Alk control on my new system

I'm thinking of adding a Kalk reactor to my system. I already have a CA Reactor but was thinking of adding the Kalk to aid in PH control. Further to that I was thinking of adding a controller to my system that would control the CO2 regulator if the PH dropped to much.

Does this sound like over kill or good sense. Any thoughts?

Jason

Hi Jason,

If you're going to add controller, control the input of the kalkwasser which would swing your pH faster than CO2 ever could. Open top tank and big skimmer will drive the CO2 out fairly quickly.
So I wouldn't worry about controlling the CA reactor, it's better leave it set to constant pH.
But if you're planning to dose kalk with peristaltic pump, then skip the controller all together.
