Default silicone, how soon

I know the instructions on the tube says wait 48 hours before adding water, but what the soonest you've had water without problems?

Testing the new tank and getting micro bubbles from the skimmer into the tank, looks like they're just going under the baffles. Baffles now held in place by glass strips on the sides and sit up about 1/4" (from bead how sump was assembled).

Want to run a bead of silicone around the baffles to see if they stop.

i'm about to silicone my baffles as well.
what i'm gonna try and do is get a heated fan and try and speed the process. not sure if it'll cure faster or not.

i'm thinking it should take 1 day.
i'll let you know how well it will set.

Once the silicon is well skinned over, it's fine. It takes days to get teh strength, but for toxicity, a good dry skin is fine. I ran my sump after about 5 hours.
