how many people here are also on IRC?

I was just wondering if it would be worth it to start a irc channel for everyone to talk in.. it is easyer to tell who is on and such..

Hello,

I thought about that prior to setting up the current chat program. However, a few issues come up:
1) people have to install IRC agent
2) you can tell how many people are in the current chat program as well by looking at who is participating
3) there are IRC commands that people have to learn to use

ya thats why I assked if anyone was already on irc.. It would be a pain to do it if no one is used to it..
I personaly am on irc 24/7 as I have no life so it would be no problem for me to hold open a channel .. [img]images/smiles/icon_biggrin.gif[/img]

oh Titus, how do you see who is in chat?

I used to use IRC many moons ago when I had no life, but grew bored with it and most of the people on it.

Now I use MSN Messenger as my instant message and chat tool and find it works well for me.

Perhaps it could also be used as a chat/gathering forum?

Oh I meant knowing how people are on by counting how many individuals are actually responding.
