Default wash sand>?

about to add caribsea sand to my tank do i rinse it with just tap water? just add it in without washing? ordo i need to use ro water?

rince with RO/DI if you have it. If not treated tap water, with something like Prime, should work well enough.

After your done rinsing it with either Ro/Di, or treated tap water as stated above. Make sure you do a final rinse with salt water at the correct salinity. I added a bunch of sand a while ago, making sure that I rinsed it really good. When I added the sand to the tank, I forgot about the added freshwater. Luckily, I only added a few pounds of sand, but my S.G. went down pretty quick.

You could just wait till it dries out before adding it.

no worries my tank is not set up yet all my lr is sitting in a seperate brute can.

I could be beneficial to wash it thrugh the strainer when i had mine sand washed i had found metal wires in it , you may or may not have it but it worth a shot
