Default OK, Now I'm really confused about skimmers.

Hi Guys
I have been trying to follow the threads about the Coralife Super Skimmers. Good/Bad/Indifferent etc. I have a 26 gal Bow with a Maxijet 1200 on a hydor wave maker, a Aquaclear 802 P/H with media attachment runnung floss, as well as a Aquaclear 300 filter modded with L/R and some cheto. Total flow =1000gph. Lighting is the Coralife clip-on 150watt 20,000k MH. Everything seems happy but trying to keep the glass clean from the green algea is a pain. So I thought (I know big mistake on my part) I would put a skimmer on and take out the AC300, and was thinking of the CSS-65. Everyone seemed so happy at the start of all the threads, but seem to have all backtracked lately.
Sooooo does anyone have a CSS (CSS65) that they are happy with.
any help would be much Apprec.
Thanks.
Dave.
ps John the majority of the stuff that survived is growing like weeds.

No regrets with mine at all. Here it is after 3 months of operation. I've been adjusting it slightly, playing with pump height and the outflow valve to get it skim dry and now it is consistently pulling out this.

This is the tread from Reef Central that convinced me to purchase mine.

Thanks masked reefer and bigals_nate.
Well I guess it's going to be the CSS-65. No one had any comments about some other types that might be ok for a smaller tank, ie: Remora(20/75),Comline 3110, etc.
Now its just a matter of shopping around for prices.

Dave.

I'm running the prism HOB with the upgrade kit (surface skimmer & media basket). For my 40G tank, it's been good. I did have to modify it a bit by adding a 2 inch piece of rubber tubing between the body of the skimmer and the collection cup and a slightly longer piece of airline tubing. Doing that allowed me run the skimmer at full flow all the time. It does collect some very nasty stuff, it almost makes me puke when emptying it.
