Default Montipora

I picked up two Montipora frags, one green and the other purple. The purple one seems to be bleaching along one edge. Both frags have not extended there polyps. Any thoughts, I have moved them lower in the tank for now. They were added to the tank on Friday night.

Thanks

it looks as if the colour is lifting off where the purple meets the white edge. Could this still be new growth?

sounds like the tissue is peeling away from the skeleton, not usually a sign of a healthy coral.

It has been getting worse, about half of the colour has gone. I guess it did not travel well. Too bad, its a real nice colour and my first step at a harder coral.

Default Try this?

Isn't it a little close to the zoo's? Soft corals can emit chemicals noxious to hard corals... also make sure it is in strong light - though the light regimen shift may actually be what stressed it to bleach in the first place - and good strong shifting currents... you would be surprised at the stuff I've seen grow that I thought was dying or even dead... good luck!
