Berlin XL Skimmer
Hello All,
I just bought a used berlin xl skimmer, but it didn't have a pump with it. Does anyone know what type I should be using? Cheers, Phil

A MAG 7 will work best on that skimmer.

i used to have a berlin regular size and i use mag 7, so i think you need mag9 to 12 for berlin xl. one of my friend he use mag 9 but after 2 years, the pump seem not strong enough so he change it to mag12

So is it fair to agree on the mag 7? I have a little giant hooked to it right now as I test it, but it is way to strong for it, making it difficult to get the settings right. The micro bubbles are doing my head in, and I can't seem to tweak the ball valve to acheive a consistent flow. Thanks for everyones help!

You can email Red Sea and they'll tell you exactly what to use. A MAG 7 will work fine, a MAG 9 will also work well, but will the increase in performance be worth more money? Hard to say...
