Default Flow in tank

I'm trying to get more flow in my tank without the need for too many powerheads (Should have done a closed loop). I'm thinking about using a SQWD with a pump around 1000-1200gph. Would this eliminate the need for any or at least some powerheads?

A closed loop will definately help you rid your tank of some powerheads. A SCWD with a nice pump like a Blueline NS1100 or a CSL T4 would be pretty sweet.

It would have to be a submersible pump.... I just don't have to room for a inline...

Might be a little to much for my 30g

Anyone know the rough dimentions of a mag12 or a QuietOne 4000?

Maybe one of those Seio pumps would be enough...

Ohhh, don't say that! I have one and I've had nothing but problems since I got it... as a matter of fact, it is sitting in a closet. I can't get it to start up again.

When I unplug one of my M620's it takes a little while to get going again... sometimes I unplug it and replug it then it starts...

My returns enter the tank via a scwd hooked up to a Mag3 on a 27gl with good flow, so i'm sure if you hooked a scwd up to say a Mag7 or 9 you would have plenty of flow and could eliminate a few powerheads. I also run a MJ1200 on a timmer every half hour just to mix up the flow a little.
