Default Effect of soft corals on nearby LPS

I have had a bubble coral and a colt for quite a few months.

The bubble was a showpiece coral of the tank. The colt started small and is now huge.

In the past few weeks the bubble won't open up fully. The colt is right beside it.

The water parameters etc are all fine.

Questions:

1. What is the likelihood that chemical interference by the colt is causing the bubble to shrink down?

2. Is the proximity of the colt the problem, or is just having a large soft coral in the same tank the problem?

3. Should I move the colt, remove the colt, or trim it down and frag it?

If it's chemical warfare, use activated carbon or my fav. ChemiPure to remove those chemicals from your water. Softies usually are pretty toxic to LPS & SPS corals so I would move the colt as well.

Nice to finally meet the P.Rupert reefer & hope your new frags do well in your tank.

In my experience Colt Corals are not very toxic. I would think that the Bubble would give the Colt more trouble than the other way around.
