has anyone run there skimmers in fresh water to test them out? I am wondering about the difference in bubbles between fresh and salt water.
the reason is I want to get this testing done on the 3 different bubble makers I have but I don't want to waist a bunch of salt water when I am only looking to see how much air they pump into a system. I am using a 40 gal tank for the test and directly spewing the bubbles into it so I can get pictures of the bubble out put. Steve

It doesn't work at all in freshwater, you'll have to use saltwater.
I've tried. |

Hello,
Steve, you should know this, given the number of DIYs you made. Titus

I am just trying to visualize the volume of air put out and not the quality of the bubbles. maybe I will do a fresh water run and then a salt water run to throughly test them. If this new eductor works it will drop the price of skimmers dramaticly as a beckett is close to 30.00 and a mazzei is about 80.00 and the new one is 5.00 and needs no housing. Steve
