Default 20Gal w/overflow available

This is for the aquarium pictured in this photo:
(glass only. livestock, rock, and kid not included)

I modified this tank myself, cutting the overflow, adding an overflow box with two 1" bulkheads, and black acrylic to the back wall.

I was nervous of one of my kids hitting the 5mm glass with something while I was at work so I had IA build me the same tank with thicker glass. I built this according to Tunjee's thread on Reef Central. The project cost was about $120. I will let it go for either of the following:

- credit towards an AquaC Remora skimmer
- any skimmer better than a seaclone
- a coral frag
- eternal gratitude

Let me know if you need more info or pics

- Chad

How did you cut out the glass?

That woulda been the quick/smart way to do it. Actually I did the whole job (bulkhead holes too) with a diamond bit on a dremmel. I did the cutting outside with a thin stream of water from the garden hose running over it as I worked.

I don't mind at all
I think the long cut probably took half an hour and each of the bulkheads 20 minutes. The glass on a standard 20gal is 5mm - I'm sure it would take a lot! longer if you were cutting 1/2" glass. I could track down the part number for the dremmel bit if you would like (it was about $15). Or you could even borrow mine.

Cheers,

- Chad
