Default Is there a white sps coral?

I just recently bought a frag or thin branched acro from a LFS. Its polyps are totally white and the branches are an off white. Really cool looking but I'm wondering if its actually faded out and will color up or if there are actual white acro's out there? I really hope it doesn't change cause it really pops but just wondering what you all thought.

It was a trade in and in the Burnaby BC area so hey, maybe one of you actually traded it in?

It sounds bleached to me. Give it time, you will find out the real colour...

its funny thought, its in perfect condition. Like really good polyp extension and no tissue damage at all. I guess we'll see.

The Albino acro yah there is a such thing....lol

When acros are stressed out they will expell all the zoanthelia (which is the colour)and all you're left with is a white to tan brown coral.
White sps in the wild is due to global warming and could be considered a bleaching event, if it turns from white to brown in a few weeks it's on its way to recovery or it may just slowly colour up. I would put it in a good flow area and lower out of the way of direct light to stop further bleaching once it's healthy you can move it back up slowly.
