Doesn't Venki recommend a pulse-start ballast for those bulbs? What K are they?

I don't know if he does but if so than that's perfect!

I ordered 2 x 400w 20K bulbs and 2 x 400w 14K bulbs.

Just to decide which ones I like better

I think the pulse is the recommended for the 400 bulbs or the HQI or pulse for the 250's

It says if you try to use a pulse start ballast to run a probe start bulb you might have some problems. If if this doesnt count then just forget i said anything.

lots of false assumptions in there and a little markiting bias also. read it all and take it with a grain of salt. the first post (which is the thread starter) has a tone of wrong info in it but if you read through Paulerikj sorts most of it out with only a little bias for his business.
