Default water softener

Hello reefers

i'm planning to get a Water softener unit from trail appliances and i have a RO/DI unit. just wondering if is safe for saltwater fish tank?

Ro/Di will take out anything in the water , and water softeners don't add anything to your tap water they only take most of the minerals out . I put one in 2 years ago and its been fine . Tap water tastes much better now though and the dishwasher is sparkaling inside .
