Default Monti Spots - Q?

Weird thing today (for me anyways - fuzzy stick noob). This one piece of digitata had white spots on its surface:



Then one by one they popped off and went floating away. Here's a close-up before they all popped off:



Umm, anything unusual here? Normal? No biggie, just curious... It was just the one small patch.

Looks like the coral is releasing gamets. Its spawning.

Weird Alan.
I've had that coral for 3 years now and it's never done that in my tank. Or that I've noticed anyway.
You get a piece and it does it.

Reefkeeper - individual obsessed with placing disturbing amounts of electricity and seawater in close proximity for the purpose of maintaining live coral reef organisms.

Don't know how long it took - I think I came in as they were releasing already. In a half-hour they were done...
