Default JJ's New Aquariums set up.

After 11 years we have moved into a bigger house and I now have a dedicated room for my aquariums. Unfortunately while moving the rest of our house and prepping the new 72 gal bow front in the new house I had lost just over half of my corals and 6 fish. The night prior everything was healthy, colorful full polyp extension. Then 14 hrs later I came back to the old house to find a tank full of death.

This time I will be setting it all up differently. The 220 gal will be a fowler however I may just add ricordia and some softies for a splash of color.

However the 33 gal cube will be zoa/paly/acan/small inverts and seahorse tank.

The 72 bow will be the sps tank with a couple wrasse, a tomini tang and a mandarin goby. The 30 tall will be the clown/anemone tank.

45 long will be a quarantine only tank...

Here is some pics of the 72 & 33 cube almost completed... and the temp set up of the 220

Thank you! That is my current favorite... but I have lots of work to do on the 220 gal rock work... rocks for it have just finished a vinegar bath... next is soaking them in boiling water with a pump for a day... then rock structure to begin after... I will post better pics of the 72 rockwork later. It is missing lots of corals, but with the help of local canreef members I think I shall get her back to looking beautiful again soon.

Don't go jumpin' on the 'add more fish' bandwagon yet

Let things happen ...

Sorry to hear about the fish loss. It's never easy. I still miss my peacock mantis and grey moray eel.

How's the two yellow tangs working out for you? I have a larger (5") yellow and a small (2.5") in separate tanks at the moment. Do you think they'll get along if added to a big tank together? Or disaster waiting to happen?
