Default help with light change options

Hey,

So I am new to the nano world. Have a 55gal with MH/T5 and LOVE IT! Would love to get the hood of my 24g nano cube retro with T5 bulbs. Anyone know best way, or where to get retro kit? looked into LED retro and was shocked it was so $$ (even the DIY kits). Really prefer to keep the hood on and just remove the PC lights.
Anyone offer any help? would be much appreciated!

thanks

If your 24 gallon has a lid you can remove all wiring and lights inside, cut a square hole through top of plastic cover and mount a light over that opening.
Works rather nicely in fact. I'd show you how I did that with my biocube but I am afraid I don't understand how to post pics her. Good luck!

t5's are really only somewhat better than pc's.

How much are the t5 diy kits you are looking at?

Led diys run from around 200-400
