Default wanted to say Hi

Hi canreef members new to this exciting hobby. I was looking to do something with my kids found this I currently have a hundred thirty five gallon hopefully turning into a reef sump of course 150 pounds of liverock I'm currently cycling my tank excited to get some creatures I didn't realize there's not too many places in town to get any if anyone knows where to get some livestock please let me know

You're pretty much restricted to 2 local stores now. J&L is the next best thing for livestock. Some locals have corals, depending on what you're looking for

Well this is exciting after 3 days but my tank running and the water cleared I was cleaning the glass and noticed a crack / chip in the seam of the glass the glass is one inch thick is this anything worry aboutand I noticed the water lines not level eitherScreenshot_2014-12-27-10-59-43.jpg

Seems to be okay but really hard to tell. As long as it's a chip and not cracked than it should be okay. You also need to level your tank with leveling wedges from Rona or hd.

Put wedges under your stand! Not the tank otherwise you end up with a real crack

Once level, even with one wedge, add more to spread the load, as your floor could give in a tiny bit.

Most likely that would be 10mm or roughly 3/8" thick glass ,1" glass is rare and for aquariums 25x your size , that tiny chip should be fine from what the pic tells but like most things in life there's never a guarantee

Oh and yes level stand not the tank , the tank is only as level as the stand which is only as level as the floor and so forth , floors are often off level over time

If I could suggest - be careful even trying to shim stand unless you are sure the stand is quite rigid and/or you have foam under tank.
