Default Indoor/outdoor pond

I've seen these a lot down in the states where people have indoor/outdoor ponds and are just plain awesome to look at however all the ones I've seen are in southern Utah and Las Vegas where snow is not heard of. Just wondering if there are any in Canada or is it too difficult with our seasonal climates?

Maybe so but it came up in a conversation today and was curious if anybody had done something like this in the north I seen outdoor ponds and indoor ponds galor but never a combination of the two and whether it had anything to do with weather or logistics.

It never hurts to ask

Yes I have seen 3 indoor ponds 2 in Edmonton and one in here in PG when I was house buying 12 yrs ago one of the homes I looked at actually had a 10 by 4 foot by 18 inch deep pool in the basement was a pretty cool setup but was out of my price range. A cousin who used to live in St. Albert had both an outdoor koi pond in his front yard and in his living room they had this 5 foot wide water feature in the corner with fish in the tank and my last trip to Edmonton 2 years ago saw another water feature in a friends house with a 7 foot wide wading pool setup in the garage(not really in the house but it was indoors)
