Default kalkwasser ?

can i add this to my auto top off, i have a 5g pail for my freshwater, does it have to be moving, and is this the simplest way

Ya, you can add it to your 5g top off. Stir it well and get a saturated solution. You'll get some settling, but will still be fine. Not the best way, but yes, probably the simplest way.

It's a good way, I used it for years. But a kalk reactor that mixes regularly is probably better.

I just have a TLF KW300 reactor its cheap and works well.
