Default Workhorse 7

Hey all,

Anyone know of a similar ballast to the WH7 that is readily available in Ontario? I've been trying to find a supplier that deals with something this strong but everybody here (Kingston) deals with small ballasts only.

This is for a 65g reef-to-be and following the different DIY posts, the WH7 seems to be the monster I need.

Check this link for a Canadian supplier. Call them toll free to see if they have an east coast distributor or if they can ship you one.

Thanks Brad,

I did find one supplier in Etobicoke (Weston) which is next to TO. It's arounf $50 for the WH7 and I can buy it wholesale over the counter. Problem is it's 3 hours from here, so I'm trying to find any alternative. Should I just go for the WH7? Also is it necessary to have 48" of coverage with PC or can I get away with 24" or 26" bulbs? I am new to anything other than Standard FL tubes so any help would be great!

Thnks again,

Troy

Most of us in BC can buy these things at teh corner store, so we use them a lot. I think they are a great ballast and recommend using them. See if the place in TO will ship it.
As for tube lengths and such, ask Stircrazy about it, he loves to talk (about lighting)

Try this place http://www.brite-lite.com/CdnShop/Publish/vindex.htm
They don't advertize but they do sell the workhorse line. They have great service, I have ordered from them many times. Shipping is a flat rate ( $10/ order) but it is uasuly out the next day.
Give them a call
