Default TUNZE 6100 CONTROLLED KIT

So I sold one of my 6080 Tunze's and purchased a 6100 kit to take it's place. I now have a 6080 (2250gph)on one side of my 230g aquarium and a 6100 (set to 1300gphish to 3700gph) on the other side of my aquarium.

VERY COOL EFFECT!

For any of you that have this kit you know that you can delay the time between the lowwer gph setting and the higher gph setting. I have it set to about a 15 second delay. The back and forth effect of the current in the tank is awsome! With my old setup with 2 6080's the current would meet in the center of the tank and maybe travel about a foot side to side but that's it. With the new setup the current travels back and forth between both ends of the tank. AWSOME

Hi Jon:

Was just wondering, did you have to buy the controller separate?, cause I think the 6110 kit comes with the controller and if I remember same GPH, but a little cheaper in price, I might be wrong.

You can buy just the 6100 unit for $430ish or the kit for $500. The kit comes with the single controller. Yes it's cheeper to buy both pieces as a kit rather than separate. You save something like $20.

Jon, I recommend the photo cell for that kit also, calms the seas at night for about another $20.

I have this unit also. Can you explain the photo cell for me though? What it does, where you can get it?

The photo cell drops the pump to whatever your minimum setting is at night. J&L carries them.

Thanks Brad! Nice to hear someone reccomend it. I was going to order it with the pump but another $20 on top of $500 is hard to swallow

Default Photo Cell

I have the 6100 kit on my 180G and the Photo Cell is well woth the money. My tank has never done as well as it has since adding the 6100 kit it has made a significant difference to the water circulation within the tank.
