Canon rebel xsi help

So I borrowed my sis camera n tried a bunch of shots n they all look like crap! Worse than my iPhone pics. So does any1 with this camera able to teach me the secret setting to make it take pro pics lol

Lol only if you teach me how to perform brain surgery

Best place to start is YouTube. Type on "canon xsi" and learn basic controls of the camera
