Default Does this look healthy?

I believe this is a Acropora. The last few days the base has been getting very green but now there is no polyps or what ever they are coming out from it where it has turned bright green. Is this healthy or do I have a issue?

the tissue is totally gone at the base. it will prob spread upwards unless you frag a healthy piece off the top.

it's either slow (STN) or rapid (RTN) tissue necrosis.

Cut it with bone cutters or something similar , and don't cut it right where its dead , cut at least a 1/4" above the dead part to try to prevent it from spreading.

If I frag off a few pieces and then leave the dying one in my tank as well to see if it makes it through this or not will the sickness spread?
