Default Agressive bi-color

From the title you-all are probably thinking Im gonna refer to the bi-colr angel I have, but actually its my bi-color blennie that is a little turd. Some of you may have read that I recenlty added a 5"ish powder blue tang to my 110g. It seems like the most easy going fish I have and doesnt bother a thing. It probably doesnt see any of the much smaller fish in the tank with it as a threat. Except for my bi-color blenny( which is maybe 2"). The BB will be sitting there in a little hiddy hole and when the powder blue swims by he rushes out and bites it in the arse(tail) and then quickly runs and hides. Which absolutely infuriates the powder blue.Ive seen it a few times now while staring at my new addition. The blenny hasnt done any damage that I can see, so I think it hilarious. What cajones this little bi-color blennie has.

My little bi-color blenny was the worst fish in my tank! He would bite anything and everything...and mostly us if we dared reach our hand in the tank! He was a nasty one!

They're fiesty little beasts that's for sure!!!!

We purchased one and it went right after our lawnmower blenny. We gave the bi-cloured blenny to my brother for his 210 + tank and he's enjoying himself quite fine...thankfully our lawnmower blenny (Angus ) is doing great!

Everything I had read about them suggests that they are only aggressive towards other blennies. But I guess as with most fish there are exceptions to the rule.

Yes you're right, they do seem to be aggresive with other blennies. When I purchased the fish, I explained which fish I currently had in my tank and they said it should be fine...so I took their word for it.

My brother has some blennies in his tank and he's ended up being really good with them...so I am relieved about that.

This is true, however they are extremely territorial. I had one that decided one section of the tank was his which was fine, however as time passed he decided that the whole tank was his and went after anything and anyone. Eventually during one of my tank moves/upgrades/teardowns (can't remember which) he went off to a better place (another tank/store, again cant' remember which). I never got one again. Cute little guys but nasty little attitudes.
