My concern is the rubber that it sits into all thier other peer heads I have the rubber has hardened and made unuseable

Thought so too.... But it's a decently strong magnet. Think we are safe on this one

Korallia will send out free impeller magnets if you ask them. Also the store where you bought it should have some too.

Send an email to hydorusa.office@hydor.com and they will help you out.

I'm on my third set of magnets.

I find that they tend to start backwards more often as the magnets get weaker.

I too am on my third set. Pain in the butt, would rather they sell a better quality product.

Yes, that's where I am at as well.

Trying a Gyre pump. Hopefully there is no magnet issues.

Yep, they are completely different animals though, like comparing apples to oranges.

I've got about 12 gyres running in tanks right now and I've been quite happy with them.

Koralia is a bit of a different application IMO
