Default What's this Feather doing?

I brought it home yesterday and it's beautiful, definately adds some life to my tank until I upgrade the lighting for corals! However, after about an hour it started to what it looked like *Poop*? little curly brown things were comming out under the two little dot things in the center.. is this what it was doing? it did it about 3 times.

Here is a closeup of the action... (sorry not clear)

My feather has done that a couple time but it always happened after I was digging around and strirred up a lot of silt. I thought it my case it had taken in a bunch of silt and to get rid of it a takes a big "Scooby Doo"

Looks like its just getting rid of some nasties, whether or not its poop or debris.

I just picked one up to this week to replace the one I had for almost 2 years before the $%@#$%@# bristleworms killed it. PANACURE, PANACURE, my kingdom (or at least eternal gratefulness) for some PANACURE!
