Yup. Just wait until you buy the scraper attachment and clean it in front of friends who want to take a turn...then find a way to scratch the glass in the process....

Don't worry about the putty. In a few months it will look like rock anyway

Looks good to me. I wouldn't worry about the epoxy...it "disappears" in no time!

I have a decent amount of that stuff throughout my tank (more superglue though) but I figure since the tank has a year or so to go before I will be really proud of it, who cares about the mess right now I also figure the worse it looks now, the more impressive it will be down the road if I can actually get it to look good!
