Default badAZZlars's bigAZZtank build (260G)

Picked up a new tank last week and thought i'd start another build thread.

I still have my 125 running and will transfer everything over once everything is in place with the new setup. Build for the 125 can be found here:
http://www.canreef.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=72647

It's a bit bitter sweet getting a new tank because my current one is just now maturing and is almost filled in. Seems a shame to tear it down but i'll survive .

This build will take awhile as I now need to buy more hardware and it'll take awhile to come up with the funds but I have already decided how it will be setup and will buy pieces as I can afford it.

Plans for new tank:
Tank: 260 Gallon 72X28X30 front starfire with external overflow
Sump: 68X24X16 with built in frag tank and fuge
Lighting: Use current 60" sunbrite f series and add another 72" sunbrite f series
Skimmer: Super Reef Octopus sss5000int
Return Pump: Water Blaster 7000
Circulation: Use my 2 current mp 40's on the back wall and add 2 Tunze 6105 pumps mounted to my 2 rotating vertex moceans on the two sides
Dosing Pump: Use my current ghl 4 pump doser
Chemical Filtration: Use my current dual chamber BRS reactor for carbon and gfo

Livestock:

Fish:
Yellow Tang (existing)
Hippo Tang (existing)
Achilles Tang
Powder Blue Tang
Kole Tang
Purple Tang
Flame Angel (existing)
Coral Beauty Angel (existing)
Potters Angel
Multicolor Angel
Royal Gramma (existing)
2X existing anthias (can't remember species)
Blue Jaw Trigger (existing)
Yellow Canary Wrasse (existing)
6 X fairy wrasses
6 X Banggai Cardinal fish

Corals:

No major change from what I currently have in my 125. I'm sure i'll add some more sps frags and lps but i'm looking forward to having more room for the existing corals to grow out more as my current tank is getting pretty full. One thing I would like to get more of is colorful chalice's.

I'll keep updating as I buy new items and get closer to getting things running. So far the only thing i've bought so far is some extra live rock for the new setup.

Pic of the tank. It will eventually be built in as there will be a full wooden surround from floor to ceiling.

Very nice, Hopefully your new setup is as great as your old setup. If you hustle and get everything going your son could take his first swimming lessons in the tank helping you place your colonies

Thanks I'm hoping it comes together a lot sooner than later.

I've tried to get the boy swimming in the tank already but he didn't think it was a good idea.

I'm really lookin forward to Having more fish. With ym current tank I definitely just focused on the corals so it will be nice to expand both the fish and coral collections.

Thanks I really love how my current tank has matured. I plan to do the scape quite a bit different with this new one. I'm thinking 2 or 3 islands to allow for more swimming room for the fish. The current tank is getting a bit cramped for the tangs as the coral has grown in.

Wow, love your current tank...have no doubts that new one will be just as nice.
Looking at your list of equipment...why get a 72" Sunbrite when your tank is 72"? There must be enough spread on the 60" version considering you don't usually go edge to edge with rock.

I was actually thinking today that another 60 will work and save me a few dollars. It is most likely the route I will take. With the scape I have in mind the rock will be a good distance from the sides so the extra length on the light would be wasted.
