Default Is there a stronger magnet cleaner?

I have 5/8" thick glass.

My Magfloat Magnet Cleaner keeps floating away.

Is there a stronger magnet?

I was also thinking about cutting open the cleaner and replacing the magnet with a harddrive magnet.

I'll eventually upgrade to the tigershark float I think. Just so pricy!

I have to be even more gentle than you... I'm using the mag-float on 3/4" although I've become really good at keeping it engaged.

Try one of these. I have 3/4 inch glass and use both a hammerhead and a tiger shark. There is a little bit of a difference in magnet strength and one is a little bigger than the other but both work well on my tank.http://www.jlaquatics.com/info/221/R...g+Magnets.html

You could get a "Great White", just make sure to do a proper warm up and stretch before using

Was it the cleaning ability ( effectiveness with coraline etc) or the strength of the magnet that impressed you most?

Mostly strength, and i can easily replace worn out pad easily. For cleaning coraline, it still take a bit of work depending on the size.

I suppose, but just wondering how abrasive the inner pads were vs. coraline, I find the mag floats rather useless against it.
