Default Vancouver Frag Swap

I'm thinking we should have a Vancouver frag swap, since we haven't had anything of the type before, I am by no way qualifyed to organize this though on account of I'm still in highschool so anyone who can this go ahead!!

Actually there have been 3 (or possibly 4) frag/equipment swaps in the lower mainland over the past few years. The Reef Network organizes them. There was just one in the fall, I don't know about this spring though, depends on how busy people are

Depending on my schedule and clearance from the household CEO my backyard would be available again if there's enough interest. It was a lot of fun last time around.

I think maybe he means a "swapping" frag swap. I think the way they have been done (at least south of the border) is people come and bring something like three frags each and then each person gets to choose three other frags to take home. It's an interesting idea.

Hey Ron and All,
The Reef Network is playing with the idea of a Frag Swap. Like you described Ron.
Ideas where bounced around at the Feb RN Dinner.

I'm working currently on ideas. Help is always needed

Swapping sounds good so maybe a table could be set up for that but having cash for others is nice too.

You're also welcome to use my backyard this spring/summer for a swap meet/BBQ if there's enough interest. Huge backyard & a 20 x14' deck to play with. Always have 3 full sized tables set up & dozens of chairs, 3 bbqs, etc.

our biggest challenge appears to be a lot of the past frag contributors have had issues this winter and are not in a position to frag as they are in a recovery mode.

But I'm sure we can get something going.

I will start a thread once we can get some details together.

I find myself back in the "producer" category...and I'm keen to acquire. I'm looking forward to another event soon.

A frag and equipment swap would be a great idea, just need some notice.
