Doesn't look like I can do custom white balance actually... just automatic, sunny, cloudy, incandescent, fluorescent... it's a pretty crappy camera. Charging my batteries and then I'll try out a few different modes. I was on automatic previously...

Do you have Photoshop.
If so it is not hard to colour correct. You use "curves" that should work most of the time. But I find often it throws the contrast through the roof. I use auto levels if that does not look good I use Curves then if that fails I use levels, Colour Bal and then Contrast and brightness. The combo of all three is like curves but fine tuning.
I will take a shot and post with different colour adjustments

Yup, been using Photoshop for almost half a decade now, am familiar with the intricacies of all of the above.

I feel for ya, Quinn. Try "fluorescent" if you have it, and steady the camera as best you can. Depending on the unit though, you may reach the performance threshold fairly quickly...

Ditto on that comment. I like the flowerescent setting too. It's seems to produce a decent color.

Hey, good job and very helpful - thanks for that, Jason! All I need now is a Fuji...

What did you use to set your custom WB, a nice clean patch of sand?
