I'd still use a thin layer of foam, IMO it's just too dangerous to not.

Well I'm not going to use the counter top. for the tank to sit on. Im going to use stryofoam and have the ply wood to sit higher then the tank.

More pictures woll follow this weekend probably will finish the stand.

Well I have the stand made. Its at a friends house now. all I have to do is cut the door for the left side and match it up with the stain. I hope I can match it up I might make a door for it instead of buying one from home depot..

here is the skimmer I did a leak test on it to test it out and good thing I found a ew leaks in the skimmer in the rgasket on the first flange. and then the gate vlave was leaking too. but now I have the thing water proof I hope...........

here is the skimmer with the gate valve and a extension this is what I was talking about.

I should have put a union on there I think....

Here is the dual beckett that will work with the MAK 5 and it also has a ozne port too..

well I have the stand done stained with 3 coats of varathane. the stain is a custom stain that i Picked out its Coffee stain.... no not COFFEE..

the pic doesn't do the stand justice..

the stand will be just a stand with the access from the side that is hidden with a secret door

the stand will sit againt the wall and accessed from the back for the sump..

here is the stand from the back, its not much but as you can see its amazing what a bot of trim work can do.....

I have the corners at a 90 degree angle.... I was surprized on how good i got them to be even....

I'm still debating if Im going to have a hood on the top of the stand... and have the top open on the top of the hood for heat to get out.....

Well since It was Father's day today and I was given some time for myself I hooked up the skimmer. nothing like relaxing working on the tank its pretty humid here and I was sweating and didnt even say a bad word either..... any ways out with the old and in with the good...

Here sits the good old Euro reef with the fix, I had to do on it that is why i'm took it off line. Wanted to try some new again . It will sit here in purgatory until some one wants it...
away with ya old fool

and IN WITH THE NEW

here is the pump that will run the skimmer the mak 5 FRom LANDO... thanks man.

my KALK WASte collector that I converted. Thanks Harvey...

and where the air from the skimmer will exit and the other line is for fresh air to mix with the Ozone that i have ..

Once my new window goes in I will have that hidden in to the wall probably drill in and have a elbow on it
