I used to feed the flake downstairs too, but, it got to be too much trouble to cart the little container up and down the stairs every day. (Yeah, yeah, I know what you're gonna say. But there's just so many of them!) So I use the freezedried and the frozen downstairs the flakes upstairs.

Only thing is I've noticed that it seems to absorb humidity really well, so you have to be very diligent about keeping the cap tightly on when not in use.

Heck even with diligence that stuff sucks moisture. It still works though, just a bit sticky by the time you hit the end of the container. At some point I will probably have to add water to get the last of it out.

I feed the flake as well and it's great stuff!

I have a small can of the freezedried that I will sell cheep at the meet if anyone wants it, it's brand new and not working out in my reef or should I say overflow too
I new I should have bought the flake

Try both and preferd a lot the frozen I feed it a least 2-3 tiem a week to my fish and SPS

The dry one float to much and alay finish is self on the top of my sump even after been shake for long time with water alf of it still float
