how's your flow? It helps, as said above, to have flow pattern changes to avoid dead spots.

What do you mean flow changes? I have three power heads in there at the moment. I don't have a wave maker or anything, they are just in steady.

Yes, it is my understanding that pulsing the powerheads and changing up the flow pattern is very beneficial.
