![]() do you need to skim full time? You could always employ a timer to turn off the skimmer when it's beddy time?

![]() Thanks for all the help, I am looking into all of these skimmers, some are harder to find then others in Canada. As for the putting it on a timer, I've heard it takes skimmers a few days to set in and if you keep turning it on and off, it never gets to its optimal state?

![]() I think that most reefers have their protein skimmer shut off during feeding, so I don't think that it should effect the break in cycle.
