Not sure it's designed for above water. I did take a pic of my water bottle in macro mode, looked ok
But seriously, it's got every feature I can think of, and fits in a pocket. I'll be taking it to Mexico next month for general vacation pics, so I'll see then how it works. Most day to day kid pics around here are via phone
