herbie is my preferred method super easy to plumb , dead silent , I also have starfish in my overflow so its nice and easy to keep the water level high when I turn my pumps off to feed .

usually when you have 2 holes in the overflow,and i'm assuming the holes are in the bottom of the tank,one is for the return and one is for the drain.in that case i would use a stockman

both holes are for drain as i have 2 return lines on back wall

its about 15" long sits near the top of the aquarium , and about 15"tall, so i take it i could use a herbie here
