I start to lose interest sometimes too. That's probably the main reason I've shut down nearly every tank I've ever owned. If it's the tank you really want, just keep plugging along - the interest will come back. Go do some reef things like visit an aquarium or take a dive vacation or something.

Ya, it's time to do a water change, maybe that will get me going again once I get my arms into the tank.

Hey! I never "LEFT" the hobby, just doing fresh water now. Which is still listed as part of Canreef if I'm not mistaken.

I feel the same sometimes . Get bored - I just put it on cruise control , when everything is pretty much dialed in , & take a break . Feed & water change .
After a couple months I usually get back into it - right now , hard core. What gets me motivated is reef videos !

A Bigger Challenge
Hi Laurie,
If you are bored, maybe you need a more challenging reef project. Perhaps a bigger tank, more challenging inhabitants, breeding? AquaAddict PS. This is what I am doing. Wait for my tank journal.
