![]() Sch40 is OK for pipe, but when it comes to fittings you need to look inside to see the clearance
"Skid40" fittings have a much smaller opening compared to Skid80 fittings |

Compare the insides of them against Sch80 and you'll see what I mean. Big difference |

Guess it all comes down to how much water you want to go through said holes When planning plumbing I look at the fittings and see Sch40 cuts down flow considerably when it comes to unions/valves etc Not my choice for parts, but to each his own. Or just what they can find locally ![]() |

![]() Yup. I simply need water to fall into sump, go back into tank. Done. The lumbing I have can support 5 times the flow I use, so whatever fitting home depot sells does the job. The entire plumbing job on my tank cost less than 20 bucks.
