The plastic cover that goes across the fixture to protect it from dust and moisture. I need to remove the cover so I can gain access to change out the T5 bulbs

Gotcha , mine has a screw on both ends of the acrylic shield that hold it in place.

Mine comes out very easily try pushing the middle of the cover up so there is no droopiness in the acrylic when you pull it out.
