I had a MRC waste collector that used only the ping pong ball to stop the waste for coming out of the unit but it diden't work it leaked. Did you see the reef octopus units he has. I have one it works great

Can you get in 100 micron mesh filter socks? Or even 150 micron? Love my 200 micron ones but a bit finer would be better.

Also, any movement on those 1.1ml/min dosing pumps?
