Remove defunct vendor ads?

Would it be possible to remove the banner ads from vendors that are no longer in business (eg modular led)? Their existence is useless for those who know they are gone, and must be very confusing to any new people to the forum. I think it gives a poor impression to new people as it suggests that this forum is not maintained frequently/properly. Just a thought.
