I bought my Red Sea max 130D used from a guy in town. It was about 6 months old, and in good shape.

I liked it because it was my first tank and I didn't want to dive into having a sump and all that, when I was first learning. I've replaced the lights with a DIY fixture, and the skimmer with a tunze 9001. total ive spent on my setup (tank, lights, skimmer) is ~900$ |

New Red Sea Reefer system. I like that they don't include lights, skimmer and return pump. Probably not going to be the cheapest option but it's nice enough to put in any room for all to see. I was going to have a custom stand built for my current system but it was quoted at $1200 for a 54" stand. Once I get more details, I am going to decide between a Red Sea Reefer and a CAD Lights Artisan II. Last edited by ronau; 11-17-2014 at 01:01 PM. |
