You don't usually see much gains with this stuff on stock engines (unless it was a bad design from the factory), but you will be glad you did all this when you drop in the turbos! What boost are they running at? Is the factory fuel pump and injectors going to keep up or are they part of the package?

we ordered the stage 1 kit, it should come with everything needed to get to about 470hp to the wheels.

the car was on the dyno for about 6 hours last week and with everything bolted on and a custom tune we hit about 264 hp right now, the funny thing is from factory it came with 330 hp and with the add on's i should have been around 380 ish but it is what it is i guess

i want to stay under 500 hp so i don't have to start throwing money at the tranny from blowing up from what i have read, the factory automatic tranny is only good for about 500 hp before one need to start moding then.

Was that 264hp at the wheels though? I hear ya on the tranny. Back in the day I had a modded 88 Mustang Cobra and it didn't take long before the factory transmission was toast and I had to buy a tremec TKO which was a huge hit to the wallet but not unexpected. Ever since I always make sure I read up on a vehicles factory capabilities before deciding what to mod and what not to. Now I drive a '13 Jeep Rubicon, so while not a rocket by any means the mods are endless, unfortunately my wallet (and wife) aren't. Are you going to try to get the G37 done before the snow flies?

Good stuff! Ya, you have to watch the hp otherwise you start having to deal with suspension mods, once you start, it doesn't stop!

I'm doing my headers and exhaust next year. I'm not looking for hp gains, just more rumble.

Those are odd results on your dyno, did you run before the tune? Or is that 330 at the crank, which to your wheels would have been lower stock. I know mine is lower at the wheels, even though it's sold as 426 hp. I don't recall the difference though 20-30 less give or take.

Calgary is at high elevation , hp numbers are all tested at factory at sea level at ideal temp and humidity , sucks but true . Turbos will help a lot , if you don't hit target numbers just crank up the boost!

True enough, I always watch the tflcars.com reviews and while they don't dyno for Hp they do the 0-60 runs at high elevation in Colorado and the times are always way under spec. I don't recall the vehicle (high end) but they took the same car and driver and tested at sea level California and then again in Colorado and it was a 3 second difference. On a good note though everyone around you has the same handicap.

ya we did run it on the dyno before the tune

baseline runs was 259.4 and after the tune 264.7 i was reading that i could be losing around 35% of the power from the crank to the wheels

there was just nothing to gain and the fuel and air mix was around 12 to a peak of 14 something so it was still running safe without going to lean

the only way to get really power from these car are force induction, going to only run 7 to 8 psi so i don't have to start playing around with tranny mods or engine internals. but i am sure this will go out the window the fist day a civic pulls up to me and leaves me in his dust lol i have seem so crazy things those guys are pulling from their engines

here's the killer, i was looking at the lotus evora or the bmw m4 both were around 94k mark but i wanted to save some money and bought the g37. by the time i am done with this car i may not be that far off the price some times i really wish i think things though instead of flying of the handle and just doing it

That's the fun thing about cars though, making it your own, the way you want it.

And the crazy thing is, when you go to sell, you'll likely have to take everything off anyway....keep all your original parts....lol
