The thing about pictures is that people want to know exactly what coral/fish/tank/product that people are trying to sell. If you want to sell your item, take the 2 minutes to post the picture of it. As a buyer, I couldn't give a flying fart about what google says the item looks like, when I am browsing posts, I want to know what your item looks like, and I don't want to mess around for half a day while I wait for someone to text me back and send me tiny photos that I can't see on my phone, or go to someone's house (and most sellers live quite far from me) to see something that wasn't what I was looking for. I can easily go to another post selling a similar item, with a picture and buy it. I think part of being a decent seller is to provide certain information to convenience buyers. I'm not saying the site has to regulate it and make it mandatory that buyers post photos, but those people just have to expect that they may not get as much interest. |
