![]() I'm sure this will cause conflict but honestly.
The cost of additives that peeps get so worried about seems ridicules!?!. The price of a coral or a light fixture protien skimmers pwr heads pumps etc ect. I can not understand how additives or pwr consumption is given so much attention IMO. Seems like a drop in the bucket in the scheme of the hobby. No one that snowmobiles complains about but he price of gas or oil! Just my thoughts |

Between food, electricity, salt, and additives my tank requires (as in, I have no choice to spend it or the tank will crash) nearly $250/month if I don't buy cheaper versions of product in bulk quantities. Regardless of my sunk cost, that's still a tremendous amount of money to be required to spend every month on a hobby. And that's before I start thinking about things I want to buy. Every dollar I can shave off the required costs is another dollar I can feel better about spending on things I actually want. Some people consider amino acids a necessity, and they are dosed enough to become an ongoing maintenance cost, so it's a worthwhile question to ask. |
