New local purchase of fishies

I guess I'm just mean to my fish. I have a black bare bottom tank but didn't put any dishes of sand in for the wrasse. He found a nice hidey hole in the rock work that he disappears into every night. I'm still debating the BB as I like the look of sand but end up getting cyno here and there. I have had a couple of BB tanks before and never had any cyno or algae related issues at all, besides after 5 weeks my BB already has a slight dusting of white sand from the rocks anyway.

Yup, totally agree with that. If this is my only wrasse, my new tank will be bare with his container in there for him somewhere. If I add a leopard, then I will add sand.
